The trellis system has been introduced into the room to mimic the Chengal Pasir tree. Having it built according to the areas in the room, it would help to provide direction. With the lowered trellis system, one would also be able to feel cosy.

For most Village hotel in Singapore, the hotel adopts their design based on the location of the hotel. Hence, the design adopted by Village Hotel Changi would follow the ‘nature’ concept. Since the name Changi came about because of the Chengal Pasir tree, it should not be forgotten as it plays a significant role in the history of the place. At the same time, it will encourage the tag line of ‘Made in Singapore’ as it lies under the history of Singapore even before it gained independence.
