As Singapore emphasises on the importance of ageing-in-place within the ageing population, it is paramount to take precaution for the elderly in Singapore that are living alone. Some difficulties that include social, physical and emotional difficulties play huge roles in the lives of the vulnerable population. Aiming to aid the difficulties, lives of these Elderly are looked into through the projects within different time frames and methodologies.

Focusing on the more vulnerable population in Singapore, Elderly Living Alone looks into the lives of Elderly who are living in the Housing and Development Board (HDB) Public Rental Flats that has existed since 1960s. The project aims to bring the vulnerable population of North Bridge Road together through the design of common spaces like the Community Kitchen and Programmes Area which are sources of tangible support to the elderly. With abundance input into each space, these spaces can come into use through their daily lives, enhancing the way they live.
